As a knowledge hub, we understand the opportunities and the requirements of the public sector and academia. An urban testbed for new exciting products or services
At Urban ICT Arena, companies find a testbed where their latest innovations can be evaluated in a real urban environment. Our founding partners (ABB, Ericsson, IBM, KTH, Region Stockholm, RISE, City of Stockholm and Stockholm University) are all on the cutting edge of new technologies and solutions. To be able to partner with their experience and knowledge gives invaluable input to startups and innovative companies. Urban ICT Arena’s understanding of the needs of municipalities, regions and authorities gives us a unique position as a creative melting pot for collaboration, that evolves sustainable cities.
A part of Kista Science City
We are a part of Kista Science City, one of the world’s leading ICT-clusters located north of Stockholm, Sweden. Together we establish strong, innovative collaborations between businesses, the public sector and academia.
Strategic collaborations
Ignite Public
The goal of the program is to increase collaboration between small companies and the public sector in Sweden. This is done by matching innovative startups with public actors across Sweden and supporting the parties to initiate collaborations through coaching and process management.
Frontrunners for Sustainable Innovation
Frontrunners for Sustainable Innovation is an EU-funded project. The innovation clusters of Kista Science City, Södertälje Science Park and KTH (including OpenLab) comes together to help small and medium-sized enterprizes in the Stockholm region.
