Urban Drone Testbed has been the name of our project related to the construction of what we previously called a “drone testbed”. In order to clarify the project’s mission and purpose, we have decided to change the name.
Local residents in Järva are generally positive towards drones
Based on a recent survey we can conclude that public opinion on the use of drones in Järva is mostly positive, with high openness and curiosity. This is a fantastic result for us – it means that the public is on board with our future plans!

An interesting visit to Brussels resulted in new insights into Urban Air Mobility. The term refers to vehicles in the city airspace – which can be large or small flying vehicles that are or aren’t manned. It can be velocopters, drones, helicopters or whatever airborne vehicle you can think of.

Bumbee Labs is one of our Supporting Partners – and they were with us on Kista Mobility Day to showcase their technology. Their innovative solutions in geolocation data, indoor navigation, visit flow data could be of great use for the development of smart mobility in our cities. If we can understand how people move, we are able to plan our cities accordingly.
