Multisensors in Kista

Through analysis of data from traffic situations, this project will gain a better understanding of flows, environment and classification of vehicles.
With the goal to refine and combine relevant data sources and, by the use of AI, reach insights for a smarter and sustainable city, the Multisensor project aim to create a basis for more intelligent traffic management and analysis, as well as to evaluate possible cost savings and created added value.

The project will focus on evaluating traffic situations where new technology may replace or supplement today’s technology with temporary cable measurement and other fixed installations used for flow measurements.

Concretely, the project will count and classify vehicles.

With the help of existing infrastructure and installed technology in Kista, the project will build on experience from completed projects within the Smart and Connected City program. Furthermore, complementary technologies will be installed side by side to enable comparative technical evaluation and to enable further analysis.

Intelligent traffic systems

The Multisensor project is part of the focus area “Intelligent traffic systems“, creating prerequisites for unique insights into current traffic flows. A process and phsysical place where businesses quick and effective can test and develop their tech and to compare solutions with other technology leaders.
